Annual Div B District Wardens Meeting- Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Jackson Mills Fire Co, 465 N. County Line Rd, Jackson, NJ. 8 am - 12 noon
Central NJ District Wardens Association- Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month (except July and August) at Double Trouble State Park @ 7:30 pm Open to all Division B wardens and deputies.
Div B Fire Tower Observer Classes-
1st class- February 11, 2016 at the New Lisbon Office starting at 7 pm.
2nd class- February 18, 2016 at the Hemetta FD starting at 7 pm.
We ask that all new and returning part-time fire observers attend one of these two classes.

International Association of Fire Chiefs representatives will present a Ready, Set, Go! train-the-trainer session in Waretown, NJ.
Join us to learn about the important stages of wildfire readiness and strategies to implement in your communities. This program helps fire agencies teach individuals who live in high risk wildfire areas – and the wildland-urban interface – how to best prepare themselves and their properties against fire threats.

The makers of Lego have accepted two proposals for fire prevention/Smokey Bear sets. The ideas are posted on the Lego Ideas site. In order for Lego to consider production of the sets, there needs to be more than 10,000 supporters registered on the site within a year of the ideas being posted. Allan Herdecker is a crewmember on B4 and has been involved with the NJ Forest Fire Service since 1990 and his local fire companies since 1987. Allan is currently in renal failure due to Polycystic Kidney Disease and is going through dialysis 3 times a week.
He is on the kidney transplant list with Saint Barnabas, but is actively looking for a donor. If you or someone you know might be interested in becoming a donor, please contact:

Jeffrey Scheuerer, a District Firewarden in section A8,
was fataly struck by a vehicle on March 28, 2013 during a prescribed burn operation. Jeff was also a long time member of the Readington Fire Dept.
