To all B10 wardens & crew

I would like to thank all of the section B10 crew for their hard work during the spring 2008 fire season. As you can see, things are really starting to "green up". Of course, we can still get fires but I think things will start slowing down a bit now.

A special thanks to all our people that were able to work the tower. As every one knows, no new people have been hired to fill open towers.

Another issue is people riding with me when the towers are up. I welcome any of our crew/wardens to ride with me. I have a "first come, first serve" policy. In other words, I don't call any one to ride with me. If you want to ride, you must give me a call. Then its "first come, first serve".

As a reminder......
no one is to respond into Sayreville unless I instruct you to respond. If any one has any questions about this, please call me.

If any one sees a non crew member using gear lettered as "NJFFS", please contact me.

We will need people on May 18, 2008 for the Middlesex County WIldfire Taskforce Drill. We need several people for ICP dispatchers, resource, staging, check-in, etc. In addition, we need several people at the seven deployment sites. Please contact me if you can attend the drill. We will start at 0700 and should be finished by 12 noon.

Thank you
John Rieth

TO ALL Section B10 crews:

I would like to wish all of you and your families a very merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year.
I would like to thank every one for their hard work this year. As you know, many of our people put a lot of time in on the new B44. Also, thanks for the help on the Middlesex County Wildfire Taskforce as well as the Middlesex Tanker/Tender Taskforce.
Thanks again to all those who responded to the Warren Grove and Atsion wildfires.

I would also like to thank the folks from Sections A7, B8 & B9 for their continued support to our section.

We will have a B10 crew meeting sometime before spring fire season as well as some other dates including March 15 which is the next Middlesex County Wildfire drill.

Thanks to everyone for another safe year.

B10 Section Firewarden John Rieth

PS. As you know, Scotty has purchased a new home with a shop. He needs his tools and equipment in his new shop, thus B10 headquarters could use a few things. We are looking for a heavy duty battery charger, jack stands, air tools and a floor jack. If any one could donate or loan us any of these tools, we would greatly appreciate it.
